Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia


Momoko Ueda carded rounds of 75-69-74 for a five-over-par 218, tied for 41st at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (October 22 - 24).

In the first round, Momoko made one birdie, three bogeys, and one double-bogey to be tied for 47th at four-over-par, nine strokes back from the co-leaders Mika Miyazato and Jee Young Lee.

In the second round, Momoko made six birdies and four bogeys to stand in a tie for 34th at two-over-par, eight strokes behind the two 36-hole co-leaders Maria Hjorth and Jee Young Lee.

In the final round, Momoko made one birdie and four bogeys to end up at five-over-par 218, tied for 41st.

Jimin Kang fired a final round, six-under-par 65 to win the tournament at nine-under-par 204 by one shot over Juli Inkster. Congratulations, Jimin!


Momoko will compete in the LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK telecom in Incheon, South Korea (October 29 - 31).

Sankyo Ladies Open


Momoko Ueda missed the cut at the Sankyo Ladies Open (October 08 - 10, in Gunma Prefecture, Japan).

In the first round, Momoko made four birdies and six bogeys including five straight ones from hole 8 through 12 to be tied for 34th at two-over-par, six strokes back from the co-leaders Mi-Jeong Jeon and In-Bee Park.

In the second round, Momoko made two birdies, two bogeys, and two double-bogeys to be tied for 59th at six-over-par, but wound up two shots shy of the cut line. The 36-hole leader is Mi-Jeong Jeon at nine-under-par.

Sun-Ju Ahn won the tournament at 10-under-par by outlasting In-Bee Park in a one-hole sudden death playoff. Congratulations, Sun-Ju!


Momoko missed the cut for the first time in the last 85 events (including withdrawing one) in four years on the LPGA of Japan Tour.


She will play at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 22 - 24.

Japan Women's Open Golf Championship


Momoko Ueda carded rounds of 74-70-80-71 for a seven-over-par 295, tied for 19th at the Japan Women's Open Golf Championship in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan (September 30 - October 03), which is the third of four major tournaments on the LPGA of Japan Tour.

In the first round, Momoko made three birdies and five bogeys to be tied for 27th at two-over-par, six strokes behind the 18-hole co-leaders Ayako Uehara and Mika Miyazato.

In the second round, Momoko made three birdies and one bogey to stand in a tie for 11th at even-par, nine shots off the 36-hole leader Mika Miyazato.

In the third round, Momoko made one birdie, three bogeys, and three double-bogeys to be tied for 31st at eight-over-par, 16 shots shy of the 54-hole leader Mika Miyazato.

In the final round, Momoko made six birdies, three bogeys, and one double-bogey to end up at seven-over-par 295, tied for 19th.

The winner is Mika Miyazato, who stayed on the lead over the four rounds and finished the event at 12-under-par 276. This is her first victory as a professional golfer. Congratulations, Mika!

Momoko Ueda will compete in the Sankyo Ladies Open in Gunma Prefecture, Japan (October 08 - October 10).

Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open


Momoko Ueda carded rounds of 69-75-70 for a two-under-par 214, tied for fourth at the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan (September 24 - 26).

In the first round, she made six birdies and three bogeys to be tied for second at three-under-par, one stroke behind the 18-hole leader Yoko Inoue.

In the second round, Momoko made one birdie and four bogeys to stand in a tie for 11th at even-par, four shots off the 36-hole leader Rui Kitada.

In the final round, Momoko made three birdies and one bogey to end up at two-under-par 214, tied for fourth.

Eun-A Lim won at five-under-par 211. This is her 2010 season's first and career-third JLPGA victory since she joined the Tour in 2008. Congratulations, Eun-A!

According to the press, Momoko was being tutored by Steve McRae during this event. He mentored her at the CN Canadian Women's Open in August as well. She will decide to enter into a formal contract with him or not after her 2010 season is over. Steve McRae is a PGA AAA Coach and has been tutoring Jiyai Shin and Katherine Hull.


Momoko will play at the Japan Women's Open Golf Championship in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan (September 30 - October 03), which is the third of four major tournaments on the LPGA of Japan Tour.

Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic


Momoko Ueda finished the Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic (September 17 - 19 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan) at 10-under-par 206 (69-70-67), tied for fourth.

In the first round, Momoko made four birdies and one bogey to be tied for seventh at three-under-par, three strokes behind the two co-leaders Sakura Yokomine and Midori Yoneyama.

In the second round, she made two birdies to stand in a tie for 11th at five-under-par, four shots off the two co-leaders Na-Ri Kim and Sakura Yokomine.

In the final round, Momoko changed her putter for the one she was using from when she was a junior high student until last year and made seven birdies and two bogeys to end up at 10-under-par 206, tied for fourth.

The winner is Mi-Jeong Jeon at 14-under-par 202. She has captured her season's third and career-sixteenth JLPGA victory. Entering Sunday three back tied for ninth, Mi-Jeong Jeon fired a final-round, 8-under-par 64 to finish at 14-under-par 202 and outlast Sun-Ju Ahn (65) by two shots. Congratulations, Mi-Jeong!


As a matter of fact, in the pro-am on Thursday, Momoko recorded an albatross on the par-5, 477-yard 15th hole. Holding out from 219 yards, she sank her second shot by using her 3-wood.


Momoko will compete in the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan (September 24 - 26).
