Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic
Momoko Ueda finished the Munsingwear Ladies Tokai Classic (September 17 - 19 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan) at 10-under-par 206 (69-70-67), tied for fourth.
In the first round, Momoko made four birdies and one bogey to be tied for seventh at three-under-par, three strokes behind the two co-leaders Sakura Yokomine and Midori Yoneyama.
In the second round, she made two birdies to stand in a tie for 11th at five-under-par, four shots off the two co-leaders Na-Ri Kim and Sakura Yokomine.
In the final round, Momoko changed her putter for the one she was using from when she was a junior high student until last year and made seven birdies and two bogeys to end up at 10-under-par 206, tied for fourth.
The winner is Mi-Jeong Jeon at 14-under-par 202. She has captured her season's third and career-sixteenth JLPGA victory. Entering Sunday three back tied for ninth, Mi-Jeong Jeon fired a final-round, 8-under-par 64 to finish at 14-under-par 202 and outlast Sun-Ju Ahn (65) by two shots. Congratulations, Mi-Jeong!
As a matter of fact, in the pro-am on Thursday, Momoko recorded an albatross on the par-5, 477-yard 15th hole. Holding out from 219 yards, she sank her second shot by using her 3-wood.
Momoko will compete in the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan (September 24 - 26).
